Official FESCO Tariff Rates FY 2025-26

These rates are taken directly from NEPRA's official notified Schedule of Tariff for FESCO, Decision No. NEPRA/R/ADG(Tariff)/TRF-605 & TRF-606, dated 23 June 2025, effective for FY 2025-26 (includes the Prior Year Adjustment already merged into the per-unit rate).

Life-Line Consumers (single phase, ≤1kW connection)

UnitsRate (Rs/kWh)
1 – 50 unitsRs. 9.90
51 – 100 unitsRs. 14.41

Protected Consumers (consistently ≤200 units/month)

UnitsRate (Rs/kWh)
1 – 100 unitsRs. 30.04
101 – 200 unitsRs. 32.42

Unprotected / General Consumers

UnitsRate (Rs/kWh)
1 – 100 unitsRs. 31.46
101 – 200 unitsRs. 33.85
201 – 300 unitsRs. 37.61
301 – 400 unitsRs. 39.16
401 – 500 unitsRs. 40.45
501 – 600 unitsRs. 41.81
601 – 700 unitsRs. 43.13
Above 700 unitsRs. 47.86

Rates are progressive (slab-based): only the units within each bracket are charged at that bracket's rate, not your entire consumption. For example, someone using 300 units (unprotected) pays Rs. 31.46/unit for the first 100, Rs. 33.85/unit for the next 100, and Rs. 37.61/unit for the last 100, not Rs. 37.61 on all 300 units.

What Else Is On Your Bill

Energy charges are only part of your final bill. On top of the amount this calculator shows, FESCO bills typically include:

  • GST (approximately 17%, included as an estimate in this calculator)
  • Fuel Cost Adjustment (FCA) – a separate monthly charge that varies based on actual fuel costs versus what was projected. This can be positive or negative and is shown as a separate line on your bill.
  • Electricity Duty and other minor government levies
  • TV license fee (flat monthly charge)
  • Fixed monthly charge, Rs. 75 for single-phase and Rs. 150 for three-phase connections, applied even in months with zero consumption

Because FCA and other adjustments change monthly and aren't part of the base tariff, this calculator gives you the core energy charge plus GST as a solid estimate, not the exact final bill amount. Compare it against your printed bill to see the FCA and other line items separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the current FESCO rate per unit in 2025-26?

For unprotected (general) consumers, the rate starts at Rs. 31.46 per unit for the first 100 units and rises progressively up to Rs. 47.86 per unit above 700 units. Protected consumers (≤200 units/month) pay Rs. 30.04-32.42 per unit, and life-line consumers pay Rs. 9.90-14.41 per unit.

Why is my actual FESCO bill higher than this calculator shows?

This calculator covers energy charges and GST only. Your actual bill also includes Fuel Cost Adjustment (FCA), which changes monthly, plus Electricity Duty, TV license fee, and a fixed monthly connection charge, none of which are part of the base per-unit tariff.

What is the difference between protected and unprotected consumers?

Protected consumers are residential customers who have used 200 units or less per month consistently for the past 6 months, and they pay a subsidized, lower rate. Anyone who exceeds 200 units in a month becomes unprotected and is billed at the general, higher rate.
